Value of sold production 2010

Value of sold production 2010 The total value of sold production in 2010 amounted to 666 billion ISK, which was an increase of 92 billion ISK or 16% from previous year. At the same time the Producer Price Index increased by 11.7% which means that the total value of sold production increased by 4.3% in real terms. As in previous years, fish products and basic metals have the highest proportion, with fish products accounting for 32.5% of the total value and basic metals for 37.1%. The value of sold production with fish production and manufacturing of basic metals excluded accounted for 203 billion ISK compared to 184 billion ISK in 2009.

Producer prices for fish products up by 1.9% from previous month

The producer price index (PPI) in December 2011 was 211.4 points (4. quarter 2005 = 100), 0.1% higher than in the previous month. The PPI for fish products was 266.6 points which is 1.9% higher than in November 2011 (effect on the index 0.7%) and the PPI for power intensive industry products was 226.5 points, 1.6% lower (-0.6%).
