External trade January-November 2004

Balance of trade
The value of exported goods from Iceland amounted to ISK 184,000 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to ISK 219,200 million fob January-November 2004. Thus there was a trade deficit of 35,200 million as compared with a trade deficit of 14,300 million in January-November 2003, at fixed rates of exchange¹.

Exports
The total value of exports of goods January-November 2004 was 16,400 million or 9.8% higher at constant rates of exchange than the same period the year before.

Imports
The total value of imports of goods January-November 2004 showed an increase of 37,300 million or 20.5% higher than in the same period last year, at fixed rates of exchange.
