External trade, preliminary figures for February 2009

According to preliminary figures for February 2009 the value of exported goods amounted to approximately ISK 32,300 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to approximately ISK 26,400 million fob. Thus, there was a trade surplus of ISK 6,000 million in February 2009, according to the preliminary figures, calculated on fob value.

There is an indication of decrease in the exported value of aluminium and a decrease in the imports of fuels and industrial supplies in February compared with January 2009.
