External trade, preliminary figures for April 2009

According to preliminary figures for April 2009 the value of exported goods amounted to ISK 31,700 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to ISK 29,400 million fob. Thus, there was a trade surplus of ISK 2,300 million in April 2009, according to the preliminary figures, calculated on fob value.

With regards to exports there is an indication of decrease in the exported value of marine products and manufacturing products but an increase in the value of imported industrial supplies in April compared with March 2009.
