External trade of goods, preliminary figures for December 2009

According to preliminary figures for December 2009 the value of exported goods amounted to ISK 42,000 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to almost ISK 35,100 million fob. Thus, there was a trade surplus of ISK almost 7,000 million in December 2009, according to the preliminary figures, calculated on fob value.

Regarding exports, there is an indication of a decrease in exported marine products but an increase in the exports of aluminium. Regarding imports, there is an indication of a decrease in imported fuels and lubricants and industrial supplies in December compared with November 2009.
