Overnight stays in hotels increased by 28% in February
In February 2012, overnight stays in hotels were 102,600 compared to 79,900 in February 2011.
Nights spent by foreign tourists accounted for 78% of the total number of overnight stays in February and increased by 33% compared with February 2011. At the same time the overnight stays of Icelanders increased by 13%.

The data above only show overnight stays in hotels that are operating for the whole year. Guesthouses and summer hotels are not included in this category.
