Guest nights in hotels increased by 15% in May
In May 2012, guest nights in hotels were 139,100 compared with 120,500 in May 2011.
Nights spent by foreign tourists accounted for 82% of total guest nights in May and increased by 17% compared with May 2011. At the same time national guest nights increased by 8%.
Nights spent in hotels increased by 23,5% for the first five months of 2012 the total number of guest nights was 568,900 and increased by 23,5% compared with the same period in 2011. Nights spent by foreign visitors increased by 28% while national guest nights increased by 10%.
The data above only show guest nights in hotels that are operating for the whole year. Guesthouses and summer hotels are not included in this category.
