Short term indicators in August 2010

The CPI in July 2010 fell by 0.66% from the preceding month (fell by 0.78% less housing cost). Over the last 12 months the CPI rose by 4.8% (CPI less housing cost rose by 6.1%) while the change over the last 3 months is equivalent to an annual deflation of 2.3% (3.8% deflation less housing cost). In Iceland, the HICP fell by 0.2% in June from the preceding month and remained unchanged in the EEA. Over the 12 months to June the HICP in Iceland rose by 7.6% and by 1.8% in the EEA.
