Tourism satellite accounts 2000-2008
| The tourism share of GDP was 4.6% in 2008. Total tourism consumption was 171 billion ISK in 2008 or 11.5% of GDP. Inbound tourism consumption was 93.5 billion ISK, the households’ tourism consumption 67.5 billion ISK and the business and government tourism consumption 9.5 billion ISK in 2008. Total internal tourism consumption in air transport services was 30% of the total domestic tourism consumption or 51 billion ISK in 2008. The consumption of hotel, food and beverage services 20% of the total or 34 billion ISK. (Corrected version 21 February 2011.) |
