Labour market statistics, 1st quarter 2010
| The number of persons in the labour force in the first quarter of 2010 was 177,500 which corresponds to an activity rate of 79.7%. The number of employed persons was 163,900 and unemployed persons were 13,600. The unemployment rate was 7.6%. The number of unemployed persons increased by 900 from the first quarter of 2009 and the number of employed persons decreased by 1,600. The unemployment rate in the capital region is 8.6% and 5.9% in other regions. |
