Use of ICT and the Internet by households and individuals 2004

In 2004 the vast majority or 86% of Icelandic households had a computer and four out of every five had access to the Internet. The percentage of households with ADSL, SDSL or other kinds of xDSL Internet connection has increased from 40% in 2003 to 54% in 2004. The number of household members affects the IC technology found in a household, i.e. televisions, mobile phones, computers and Internet connections were more often found within households with two or more members than within households with only one member.
