Labour market statistics 1991-2009
| The number of persons in the labour force in 2009 was 180,900 of which 167,800 were employed and 13,100 unemployed. The activity rate was 80.9%, employment rate was 75.1% and unemployment rate was 7.2%. In the years 1991 to 2009 the activity rate was rather stable between 80.7% and 83.6%. Since 1991 the employment rate has never been lower and the unemployment rate higher than in 2009. Until 2009 the highest unemployment rate was in the years 1992 to 1995 or between 4.3% and 5.3%. |
