Wages in the private sector increased by 10.3% on average between the years 2005 and 2006 according to a new wage index. Wage increases ranged from 8.8% for Craft workers to 11.5% for Professionals. In the economic activity of Transport, storage and communication (I) the wages rose by 12.3% while the increase of wages was 9.1% in the economic activity of Wholesale and retail trade; repair (G). Wages in the public sector increased by 10.4% during the same period.
