Registered students at the upper secondary and tertiary level in autumn 2009
| In autumn 2009 there were 48,706 students enrolled. The number of registered students increased by 1.5% at the upper secondary level since 2008, while at the tertiary level the increase was 5.5%. The main reason is a large increase in the number of students in distance learning programmes at the tertiary level. |
