The total number of overnight stays was 2,133,630 in the year 2004, which is a 7.5% increase from the year 2003. From 2003 to 2004 the number of overnight stays increased by 7.3% in hotels and guesthouses, 17.9% in private-home accommodation, 12.2% in sleeping-bag accommodation,10.6% in camping sites and 6.9% in youth hostels. At the same time the number of overnight stays decreased by 3.6% in holiday centres and 2.1% in lodges in wilderness.
