Purchasing Power Parities, final results for the year 2004 and preliminary results for 2005
The Icelandic per capita volume index at level of Gross Domestic Product is among the highest in the exercise, 29% over the EU25 average. At the prevailing exchange rate of the Icelandic currency in 2005 the relative price level was the highest in Europe, 44% over the average for the GDP as whole and 69% over for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
