A total of 7,715 households received municipal income support in 2011, an increase by 805 (11.6%) from the year before and by 1,721 (28.7%) from the year 2009. Households of single men without children (43.2%) and households of single women with children (26.8%) were as before the biggest groups receiving income support. In the year 2011 nearly half (48.3%) of recipients of municipal income support were unemployed and thereof nearly two third noninsured or 2,228 individuals. |
