Financial accounts of enterprises 2006-2007
Operating profit, EBIT, of 23,038 enterprises in all activities in 2007 was 16.0% of revenue compared with 19.4% the year before. These are among the main results from an annual compilation of financial accounts of enterprises undertaken by Statistics Iceland.

New registrations and insolvencies of limited liability companies in January 2010
In January 2010, 157 new limited liability companies were registered, which is about 30% decrease from January 2009 when 223 new limited liability companies were registered. In January 2010, there were 92 corporate insolvencies compared with 73 in January 2009. The largest number of insolvencies was in the construction industry. More
