Tourist accommocation 2009
The total number of overnight stays was 2.9 million in the year 2009, which is a 6.6% increase from the year 2008. From 2008 to 2009 the number of overnight stays increased in all types of accommodation establishments except hotels and guesthouses. The number increased by 28.7% on camping sites, 22.7% in private home accommodation, 17.8% in youth hostels by and 17.6% in holiday centres. The number of overnight stays increased also in lodges in wilderness, 14.9%, and by in sleeping-bag facilities, 13.4%.

Overnight stays in hotels in June 2010
In June 2010, overnight stays in hotels were 157,000 compared with 149,000 in June 2009. Overnight stays increased in all regions. In the West and West fjords overnight stays increased by 13% compared with June 2009. More
