The value of catch by Icelandic vessels was ISK 11.1 billion in April 2016 which is more than a 7% increase compared to April 2015. The value of catch in the 12 months period from May 2015 to April 2016 decreased by 3.7% compared to the same period the year before. During the time period the value of demersal catch increased by 4.2% while the value of pelagic catch decreased by 32.4%.
