NEWS RELEASE INDUSTRY 20 SEPTEMBER 2016

The building cost index compiled in the middle of September 2016 is 131.2 points (December 2009=100), 0.3% lower than in the previous month.

The price decrease is primarily due to a 0.6% decrease in imported material between months (effect on the index -0.1%) and due to lower labour cost by 0.5% (-0.2%).

In the last twelve months the BCI has increased by 2.6%. The index applies to October 2016.
