Labour market statistics, 2nd quarter 2014

Labour market statistics, 2nd quarter 2014 The number of persons in the labour force in the 2nd quarter of 2014 was 189,900 which corresponds to an activity rate of 83.1%. The number of employed persons was 178,700 and unemployed persons were 11,300. The employment rate was 78.2% and the unemployment rate was 5.9%. From the 2nd quarter of 2013 the number of employed persons has increased by 3,200 and the number of unemployed persons decreased by 1.600. The unemployment rate among females was 6% and 5.9% among males.

Wage index in 2nd quarter 2014

Wages have increased 1.9% on average from the previous quarter according to the quarterly wage index in 2nd quarter 2014. From the previous year the increase was 5.4% on average, 5.8% in the private sector and 4.6% in the public sector. The annual increase was 5.5% for the central government employees and 3.5% for the local government employees. More
