Trade in goods in 2012 In 2012, goods were exported from Iceland for 633,029 million ISK fob and imported for 555,695 million ISK fob, 597,262 million ISK cif. Thus there was a trade surplus (fob) for the trade in goods of 77,334 million ISK, compared with 97,142 million ISK surplus in 2011. Exports of goods increased by 2.1% at current prices while imports of goods increased by 6.3%. Manufacturing products were 52.3% of the total exports, decreasing in value by 1.3%, at current prices. Marine products were 42.4% of all exports, increasing in value by 6.8% from the year before, at current prices.

The surplus of the balance of trade in goods was ISK 7,200 million in January 2015

The value of exported goods from Iceland in January 2015 amounted to ISK 50,600 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to ISK 43,400 million fob (ISK 46,500 million cif). Thus there was a trade surplus, calculated on fob value, of ISK 7,200 million, the same as in January 2014, at current rates of exchange.More
