Catch, value and processing of catch 2013 The total catch of Icelandic fishing vessels in 2013 was 1363 thousand tonnes which is 86 thousand tonnes less than in 2012. The value of the catch amounted to 153 billion ISK and decreased by 4.3% from previous year, 2.2% increase at constant prices. The largest part of the catch was processed in the eastern part of the country, mainly pelagic fish. Total value of by-products amounted to 5 billion in 2013.

Value of catch in November 2014 decreased by 2.7%

Value of catch in November 2014 was 2.7% less than it was in November 2013. Value of demersal catch was 2,4% higher than in the same month in the previous year, but for other species the value decreased.More
