According to preliminary figures for June 2019 the value of exported goods amounted to ISK 46,500 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to ISK 69,300 million fob. Thus, there was a trade deficit, calculated on fob value, of ISK 22,800 million as compared with a trade deficit of ISK 20,200 million in June 2018, at current rates of exchange. Without ships and aircrafts the trade deficit was ISK 21,600 in June 2019 compared with a deficit of ISK 18,200 million in June 2018.

In June 2019 the value of exported goods was ISK 4,000 million lower than in June 2018 or 7.9% at current exchange rate. The decrease was mainly due to exports of manufacturing products.

The value of imported goods in June 2019 was ISK 1,300 million lower than in June 2018 or 1.9% at current exchange rate, mainly due to a decrease in imports of fuel and lubricants and consumer goods.

It should be borne in mind that these are preliminary figures that June change due to regular revision.
