The total fish catch in December 2025 was just over 53 thousand tonnes, a decrease of 13% compared with December the year before. Demersal catch decreased 13% year-on-year, pelagic catch by 12% while flatfish catch decreased by 30%.
During the year 2025, total catch reached 1,032 thousand tonnes, representing a 4% increase compared with the year 2024. Pelagic catch increased by 8% compared with the year 2024 while flatfish catch decreased by 17% and demersal catch decreased by 1%.
