NEWS RELEASE FISHERIES 16 MARCH 2020

Landed catch of Icelandic vessels in February 2020 was 51.5 thousand tonnes which is a 30% decrease from February last year. Demersal catch increased by 5% while pelagic catch decreased by 78%.

The total catch in a 12 month period from March 2019 to February 2020 decreased by 14% compared to the same period a year earlier.

The value index in February is 7.5% lower than in February 2019.
