NEWS RELEASE FISHERIES 15 OCTOBER 2020

Catch of Icelandic vessels in September 2020 was about 119 thousand tonnes. The total catch of demersal species was 36 thousand tonnes, 1% less than in September last year. Pelagic catch was 81 thousand tonnes.

Total catch in the 12 month period from October 2019 to September 2020 amounted to 1021 thousand tonnes which is 6% less than in the same period one year earlier.

The value index of catch in September 2020 is 3.4% less than in September 2019.
