Total catch landed in September 2026 was 102 thousand tonnes, 23% less than in September 2025. The demersal catch was nearly 31 thousand tonnes, representing a 1% decrease compared with September 2025. The pelagic catch was nearly 70 thousand tonnes, a 30% decrease compared to September 2025.
In the 12-month period, from October 2025 to September 2026, the total catch was 997 thousand tonnes, a 4% decrease from the preceding 12-month period. There was a 5% decrease in the pelagic catch, the demersal catch decreased by 4%, and the flatfish catch decreased by 8% between periods.
