The total catch of Icelandic vessels was 75 thousand tonnes in April 2015, a decrease of 28 thousand tonnes compared to April 2014. This is mostly due to less catch of blue-whiting and cod. Blue-whiting catch decreased nearly 40%, and cod catch decreased more than 20% compared to April 2014.
At constant prices, the volume of catch decreased by 20.2% in April 2015 compared to April 2014. In the last 12 months, the value of catch has decreased 2,4%.
