The value of catch by Icelandic vessels was 14.8 billion ISK in March 2017 which is 3% less than in March 2016. The value of pelagic catch increased by 18.3% and was solely Blue whiting and Capelin. The value of demersal catch decreased by 8.3% compared to March last year.
Total value of catch in the 12 month period from April 2016 to March 2017 was about 118 billion ISK which amounts to 17.5% reduction in total value.
