A total of 8,500 individuals were unemployed in April 2024 according to seasonally adjusted results from the Icelandic Labour Force Survey. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.6% in April, the employment rate was 79.7% and the activity rate was 82.7%. The unemployment rate decreased by 0.9 percentage points between months while the employment rate increased by two points and the activity rate increased by 1.4 points.
