The Consumer Price Index (CPI) based on prices in July 2026, is 693.2 points (May 1988=100), 0.36% higher than in the previous month. The CPI less housing cost is 553.9 points, 0.31% higher than in June 2026.
Summer sales are ongoing and prices of clothing and footwear decreased by 4.7% (effect on index -0.16%) and furnishings, household etc. decreased by 2.4% (-0.09%), fuel for personal transport also decreased by 3.6% (-0.10%), but cost of owner occupied housing (imputed rent) increased by 0.6% (0.12%) and price of international airfares increased by 15.7% (0.48%).
The CPI is 5.3% higher in July 2026 than in July 2025 and the CPI less housing cost is 4.8% higher than one year ago.
The CPI compiled in the middle of July 2026, 693.2 points, is applicable for indexation purposes in September 2026.
