NEWS RELEASE PRICES 29 MARCH 2022

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) based on prices in March 2022, is 528.8 points (May 1988=100), 0.94% higher than in the previous month. The CPI less housing cost is 443.9 points, 0.82% higher than in February 2022.

Prices of clothing and footwear increased by 5.3% (effect on index 0.19%), cost of owner occupied housing (imputed rent) rose by 2.0% (0.35%) and prices of petrol and diesel oil increased by 8.2% (0.27%) from last month.

The CPI is 6.7% higher in March 2022 than in March 2021 and the CPI less housing cost is 4.6% higher than one year ago.

The CPI compiled in the middle of March 2022, 528.8 points, is applicable for indexation purposes in May 2022. The old credit terms index for May 2022 is 10,441 points.
