The harmonised index of consumer prices in the European Economic Area in December 2025 increased by 0.1% from the previous month. In one year, the index has increased by 2.3%.
In February, the harmonised consumer price index for January will be published, and from that date onward the index will be calculated using a new version of the COICOP classification system. At Eurostat this version is referred to as ECOICOP2, and it is aligned with the UN COICOP2018, which will be used for the consumer price index from now on.
