The producer price index (PPI) decreased by 0.3% between November and December 2016. Prices for power intensive industry products increased by 3.6% (Effect on the index 1.1%) while prices for other industry decreased by 5% (-1.1%). Prices of food decreased by 1% (-0.2%) and prices of marine products decreased by 0.4% (-0.1%).
Compared with December 2015, the PPI has decreased by 6.1%. Thereof prices of marine products have decreased by 11.9% and other industry decreased by 11.0%. When taken into consideration if the products are exported or sold domestically, exported products have decreased in price by 7.3% over one year, but products sold domestically have decreased by 3.2%.
