The number of persons in the labour force in the 3rd quarter of 2012 was 181,900 which corresponds to an activity rate of 81.2%. The number of employed persons was 172,700 and unemployed persons were 9,200. The employment rate was 77.1% and the unemployment rate was 5%. The number employed increased by 900 and number of unemployed decreased by 1,500 from the 3rd quarter of 2011. The unemployment rate in the capital region was 5.5% and 4.1% in other regions. Those who have been unemployed for 12 months or more increased by 200.
