The CPI in August 2008 rose by 0.90% from the preceding month (0.90% less housing cost). Over the last 12 months the CPI rose by 14.5% (CPI less housing cost rose by 14.6%) while the change over the last 3 months is equivalent to an annual inflation of 11.5% (10.9% inflation less housing cost). In Iceland, the HICP rose by 0.9% in July but fell by 0.1% in the EEA. Over the 12 months to July the HICP in Iceland rose by 13.7% and by 4.5% in the EEA.
