This report presents results from the Structure of Earnings Survey for the year 2010. The results show that mean earnings in Iceland are little under the mean earnings in the European Union (EU). The mean earnings of the occupational groups Managers, Professionals, Technicians and Clerks are under the mean of EU but the mean earnings of Service workers, Craft workers, Plant and machine operators and Elementary occupations are over the EU mean. Number of hours paid is high in Iceland in comparison to other countries. In addition, proportion of overtime hours to total hours is the highest in Iceland or 8% and has decreased from 11% in 2006.
