Real wages decreased by 0.6% from the previous month
The real wage index in April is 108.5 points, 0.6% lower than in the previous month. In the last twelve months the real wage index has decreased by 6.7%.
Collective agreements in April
A decision of the Senior Civil Servant Salary Board No. 2009.3.002, from 10 March 2009 stipulated an average decrease in general wages of judges by 5-15% from 15 March 2009.
An agreement between the Icelandic Association of State University Professors and the Minister of Finance, on behalf of the State Treasury, stipulates a temporary fixed monthly overtime payment from 1 September 2008 to 31 March 2009. The agreement was made in relation to a new legislation of the University of Iceland.
